Troop 49 meets on Wednesday nights between 7pm - 8pm and is comprised of approximately 16 scouts ranging from 6th grade through high school. The troop camps out every month during the year. We also go to summer camp at Camp Sequassen in New Hartford for a week.  We are also involved with local scouting events such as Camproees and Klondike. This event usually has approximately 400 - 500 scouts from the surrounding area participating.

We are also involved with various volunteer efforts such as the Cannondale Build Event sponsored by Danbury Youth Services. This provides low income families with bikes  during the holiday season.

“Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord.”  - James 5:14

Influenza is a respiratory illness from which most people recover without difficulty. For people in the highrisk categories, it can have severe complications and even death. A complication might be mild dehydration but if not treated, could escalate into a very serious concern. The flu can also cause bacterial pneumonia and worsen conditions like congestive heart failure, asthma, or diabetes. In the US an average of over 200,000 people are hospitalized each year because of complications. Flu is serious business so protect against it.
