St Elizabeth Seton Parish Advisory Council

The Parish Advisory Council & Constituency's role is to advise the Pastor on parish matters; formulate parish policy affecting the entire parish: implement such policies as directed by the Pastor; structure and guide the established committee parishioners to participate in the work of the parish and the community it serves. A council member is elected to a 2-year term by the parish community. Half of the council is up for election each year.

The council meets the second Tuesday of the month, September through June. Parishioners with questions or suggestions regarding St. Elizabeth Seton activities should contact any of the PAC members.

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit? ...Therefore, honor God with your body.” (1Cor. 6:15-20).

During February, we begin our Lenten journey and can use this time to reflect upon our physical activity. Maybe instead of giving up something this year, add something instead. People who regularly exercise live longer and feel better. Physical activity reduces weight, the incidence of cancer, and heart disease. Walking 2 miles a few times a week significantly lowers the risk of death in senior citizens. If you are not exercising, start slowly and share your plan with others. Doing so, increases will power and having the support of others is good for you and good for them. So, if you must give up something for Lent this year, give up the couch!
