Parish Nurse Corner

health

Their weakness was turned into strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight. -Hebrews 11:34.

There are more than 54 million people in the United States with various kinds of disabilities that affect the way they lead their lives. For many, these disabilities lead to feelings of inadequacy and poor self esteem. Special Olympics has used sports to help the disabled use the talents the Lord has given to find success. More than 3 million people have participated in this great enterprise that benefits both the disabled and the volunteers helping them. Think about ways you could volunteer to help the disabled. Christ welcomed everyone to his table. We should do the same.

For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. -Isaiah 41:13.
