The women's Bible Study is composed of parishoners interested in learning and sharing the Word with each other.  It is a lovely group of women who meet on Thursday mornings from 9:30 till 11:30.

We begin in the Chapel for the first half hour, during which we say a prayer, listen and sing a meaningful song.  Then we break into groups and proceed downstairs to the classrooms for an hour discussion of questions and answers.  Each group has a faciliator or leader.  We choose a study that Fr. Prince approves for each session.

There are two sessions in the calendar year. One beginning in September ending prior to Thanksgiving and the other in Mid January which usually ends the week prior to Easter.  There are required reading on part of the participants with questions to answer. Participants are never obliged to answer all the questions, but we welcome you to participate as we learn from each other in our sharing time.

When we regroup at 11:00AM for a synopsis.  After  each session we have a fellowship brunch in McKeon Hall and during the Christmas season we go to Keeler Tavern for the luncheon.  It is a wonderful way to learn the Word while sharing and supporting each other.  For additional information, please contact  Anita Morris or Deb Varnerin.

Influenza is a respiratory illness from which most people recover without difficulty. For people in the high risk categories, it can have severe complications and even death. A complication might be mild dehydration but if not treated, could escalate into a very serious concern. The flu can also cause bacterial pneumonia and worsen conditions like congestive heart failure, asthma, or diabetes. In the US an average of over 200,000 people are hospitalized each year because of complications of which 36,000 will die. Flu is serious business so protect against it.
